On Tuesday, 28 July 2026, Timmy T's prepared and donated two huge boxes containing 55 sandwiches to feed the homeless at Daybreak Church in Kailua. Rotary Windward Oahu Club was on site to serve the meal.
Here's what Moke, one of the many hungry people served, had to say about the event:
--------
QUESTION: So before you got here this morning, what were you hoping for?
ANSWER: I was truly praying for subway sandwiches today. And one of my friends, Bernie, who also lived in his car, told me, Moki, you can't always get what you want.
I said, Really? And we got in line, and lunch is Timmy T's. Then he said, Wow, you're clairoid.
I said, no. God just answers my prayers. Well, that's pretty good.
So six years ago, I lived in my car for about a year, and after that, I moved into Weinberg Village, which is Warmanali Emergency Shelter, and I lived there for about 17 months. While I was living there, after the first month, my caseworker helped me apply for Section 8 housing, and while I lived there for 17 months, I got my voucher. Today, I've been living in my apartment for three years under a Section 8 voucher.
My apartment is $2,000. I only pay 30% of my income every month. Right, right, right.
Wow. Oh, my God.
And I love this program because I've been coming here for 6 years. When I 1st came here, I was living in my car, and I needed all the essentials, like toiletries and stuff like that. And they provided that.
They also provided meals. I know it's once a month, but prior to that, there's a couple named Patty and Roger. They fed us every day.
Every day, and, um, I am blessed to have this program continue to come and share my story with other people.

So get your next meal from the company with the biggest heart in Kailua: Timmy T's!
